This fresh and tasty roll is fun to make and fun to eat, especially on our colorful Moso Bamboo plates. Don’t know how to make sushi yet? Don’t sweat it! We have plenty of pictures to help you through a step-by-step guide so you can easily follow along.

Prepare the batch of sushi rice.

Fold your nori in half and lay one sheet on the bottom of your mat. Use your fingers to spread your sushi rice over the nori.

Sprinkle the rice with sesame seeds then flip the roll over so that the rice is on your mat and the nori is face up.

Along the bottom edge of your nori, place long strips of avocado and crabmeat.
To roll, use your fingers to hold in the filling and your thumbs to roll the sushi.
Once the rice has completely been rolled into a cylinder, give the mat a firm hug with your fingers so that the rice doesn’t fall apart when you cut it.
Cut the roll gently and serve on a tray with soy sauce.
Congrats – you just made California Rolls!
