Celebrating Summer with Zak!

Celebrating Summer with Zak!

I love using the Ice Cream Tubbie to keep foods cold, and of course they are great for more than just ice cream. Although the lid has a freezable gel, I found that when you store your food inside the container and freeze or refrigerate it, it stays chilled even longer. This makes it great for serving pasta or potato salads, sliced fruit, or even holding ice cubes. The colors are perfect for summer parties too!

Speaking of ice cubes, here’s an idea for keeping drinks cold with style. There is a large selection of shaped silicone ice trays these days, and I love to use them when entertaining. Here I used a flower shape and a star shaped mold. For variety, I filled some with water, place fresh blueberries in some, and filled some with flavored juice. The result is an ice bucket filled with festive ice shapes!

Finally, this easy drink idea is perfect for summer and is sure to please everyone. Use a mini scoop to scoop out sherbet balls and place in a tall thin glass or flute. Pour ginger ale or champagne over the ice cream balls for a fantastic drink for kids or adults. The sherbet will keep the bubbly cold and will add flavor as it begins to melt.
