Zak Designs is committed to doing our part in keeping the Earth green, and the Confetti dinnerware collection is one distinct example of our efforts. The name of the line, as well as its unique look, comes from the 40% post-industrial recycled melamine used in these products; our patented manufacturing process creates a splattering of color that makes any table setting a little more festive. Naturally, this unique material may be a little different from your other dishes, so here’s what you need to know to get the most out of your Confetti dinnerware.
The most important thing is to pay attention to the temperature. Confetti products are great for prepping and serving moderate or room-temperature items—chips at a party, or hamburgers at a picnic lunch. They won’t do as well with foods served piping hot, and they should not be used in the microwave, on the stovetop, or in the oven. Aside from high heat, severe changes in temperature can cause Confetti dinnerware to crack, so the freezer should be avoided as well.
That isn’t to say, however, that these dishes are fragile. While it isn’t indestructible and will break under appropriate stress, the melamine mix is a durable material, especially considering its light weight. You can safely wash it in the dishwasher; you’ll get the best results from the top rack, as different washer brands can vary in performance. And like every Zak product, the Confetti line is completely BPA free.
So, for your consideration:
- Severe temperature changes may cause cracking
- Not freezer safe
- Do not use with stove or oven
- Do not microwave
- Dropping may cause breakage
- Dishwasher safe, top rack recommended
With these simple guidelines, your Confetti dinnerware will stay in good condition and make your table something to celebrate for years to come.
